Prediction about how AI and other emerging technologies will continue to shape the SEO landscape in the upcoming years.
As technology continues to advance the future of SEO is destined to change. Emerging technologies like Natural Language Processing, Voice search, and TF*IDF (Term Frequency times Inverse Document Frequency) are already changing the SEO landscape, and the expert says this is just the beginning.
While we were dealing with all this, the new technology comes – ChatGPT.
The emergence of ChartGPT seems like a new way to do searches.
And what if it really is?
We have observed that search engines and ChatGPT work quite differently.
Where search engines provide multiple results for the search query, ChatGPT responds to your chat with a single or sometimes 2 replies, and it highly depends upon the question asked.
That too doesn’t give a source indication like from which sites or resources the ChatGPT has picked up the answer.
And in this case, how will you get the user redirected to your website?
For traditional SEO we know (Backlinks, quality content, mobile responsiveness, etc. ) are ways to rank higher on search engines. But we are certainly not sure about ChatGPT.
What can we do
We may need to optimize the content and check whether blogs or website content is able to answer the questions asked in chat format.
Again long-tail keywords are going to play a major role.
And if the ChatGPT gets combined with Siri, Alexa, or other voice search applications then we do need to optimize the content for it.
Anyhow it’s too early to decide what is the right way. But yes let’s wait and watch!
